About Sacha Inchi

Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) is a climbing plant native to the Amazon rainforest, now cultivated across Southeast Asia and South America. Its seeds yield an oil unusually rich in omega-3 ALA (~48% of total fatty acids) and a protein powder containing all nine essential amino acids at approximately 60% protein by weight.

The global Sacha Inchi market is estimated at USD 107โ€“170 million in 2025, growing at a CAGR of 10โ€“13% through 2032, driven by demand for plant-based omega-3 alternatives to fish oil, allergen-free protein sources, and cosmetic actives. Asia Pacific is the fastest-growing region at approximately 14% CAGR, with Southeast Asia โ€” where Asia Eco Farm operates โ€” emerging as a key supply origin alongside Peru.

Key Story Angles

"We built Asia Eco Farm to solve a problem we kept hearing from supplement brands: they wanted certified organic Sacha Inchi from a traceable source with reasonable minimums. The Peru supply chain is well-established, but it doesn't serve an Asian brand that needs 50-litre drums with organic certificates and a 3-week lead time."
